what is the maximum file size that can be uploaded?

There currently is no limit on input file sizes. The published preview version of the program has a limit on the time it takes to upload, but there is no actual limit on the byte-size of the file. The program at the moment has a time limit to five minutes before the program stops waiting for the file. If you do the transfer from a system on campus, this should allow you to input at least several hundred megabytes if not more. Doing the transfer from outside of the campus network will be dependent upon your connection and how much you can transfer within this five minute time window.
Also, this time limit is a temporary technical limitation in this preview version of the program. There are plans in the near future as we near an official release to change this time limit so that you will have an amount of time to _start_ the upload and not an amount of time to finish it (so long as data is continuing to arrive and the upload hasn’t stalled), but this will require a little technical work we haven’t had time to implement just yet.
