Ability to use other genomic databases for BLASTer
So far, BLASTer only allows you to search your sequences against NCBI database. If we want to search against a genome that is not available in NCBI, we have to first download it and then upload it to BLASTer. When it comes to huge genomic data files, downloading and then uploading takes time. Therefore, if BLASTer could directly go into those databases and BLAST against them, it would save time. For instance, I recommend Sanger institute database http://www.sanger.ac.uk/resources/downloads/, where you can go to the FTP site and access genomic data.
